LEAD GUITAR TRACKED THIS WEEKEND!!!
From mountain spring rain and melt waters rivulets form,
descending, funneling forth to find ourselves caught up in a river unrelenting,
I hope that someday we will reach the ocean.

Our good friend Izaak M. flew from GRB to LAX this past Thursday to do his part for the cause. The endeavor nearly went down in flames when we got word that the studio had got some last minute bookings from more established artists that would bump us from the weekend’s schedule. But less than 12 hours later plans changed again and we found ourselves with two full days in Studio 2! Nice!
Friday, Day 1
It took a couple hours to get set up, dial in some sounds, and get loose, but by mid-afternoon we were rolling, a roll that would continue on into the wee hours of the night.
Though we weren’t in the studio Saturday we spent hours back at the hood apt. working on finalizing parts and coming up with some cool new solos for a couple tracks.
Sunday, Day 2
Crunch time, two songs on the docket today, and it’s now or never as Zak flies out first thing tomorrow morning!
…14 hours later, as we began to tear down and load out of Studio 2 I found myself feeling quite gratified in the results of our efforts over the past three days. But by 6:30 am the next morning that satisfaction had vanished, replaced by exhaustion as I made my way to LAX, Izaak in tow hoping to make a 7:45 flight back to Green Bay.
That’s all for now… hopefully a lot more recording to come in the near future.
Love,
Joel
